Hi can anyone tell me if it was a happy ending for the seven children? I missed the last 30 mins of the program

I don't think so - it ended with them being split up and talk of one of them being send down under.
They were taken to The Seaman orphanage & the matron told the priest that the eldest one would be going to Canada. He was not very pleased & argued that she had said they would be staying together. She did say this initally, but told the priest that once the papers had been signed, they were in charge of the children. The priest & Iris were both very upset about this. The priest more so as he`d promised the father & the kids that they would stay together.

OK, Canada then. I was on the phone at the time.

Pretty lousy state of affairs though.
