I'm intrigued to know why a bluetit, every day for over a week now, and nearly all day, keeps fluttering up and down against a frosted glass window, outside my house. It's almost like it's trying to get in, I can hear its beak tapping against the window. It then flies to the frosted window above doing the same thing. I wondered if it had an injured wing, but it can't have because occasionally it does fly away for some distance.

It might be attempting to 'fight' it's reflection - thinking it can see an intruder on his territory!!
I had this hapen to me last year, I saw an article somewhere which said; to stop birds flying into windows, attach a stcker to the window. This will give the impression of the window being solid. But, no I don't realy know why they do it. Waz X
It may also be that there are cobwebs in the corner of the window pane and the bluetit is looking out for spiders and other small insects such as ladybirds which are roosting there.
There's a bird which comes and pecks at our living-room window in Spring. It used to be a novelty, but after a couple of days you get sick of the tapping!! It's their reflexion they're pecking at apparently. Some birds peck at wing mirrors the same and make a right mess of the paintwork!
