Hair dye (chapter 2...)

Hi again! I've now dyed my hair for the third time in two weeks (semi permanent), and have finally achieved a nice, vibrant dark red that I quite like, after the initial shock. :-) However, the three times I did it, the colour didn't catch on the lengths of my hair, which means that they are now a lot lighter than the top and front (I'm naturally blonde). I made sure I covered it all properly, and even wrapped my head in cling film...(lol), but still, it didn't work. I've bought another pack and I'm going to do it again tonight, but only at the back. Anyone knows why the lengths don't "catch" the colour as much?? It's really starting to annoy me now (plus,it will be eating up on my precious drinking time tonight! lol)... Ta!

i think the lengths of hair can be a bit lighter naturally anyway, from having been in the sun longer, so they will give a lighter colour when dyed?
