I believe one of the alleged plots wasn't so much a bomb, but Iraqi-style kidnappings (of a member of the public), torture and execution - all videoed, of course. Now that is a scary thought. Could this feasibly become a reality? Members of the public being picked off and tortured at random? Just what Al Quaeda would want no doubt, panic in the UK. Worrying?

laurence2"What qualifys you to say that stokeace is a racist? "
Did you actually bother reading my reply or stokeaces post?

He states in his posts: ".inter the lot of them."
they are all enemies until they can prove they are not.
people like that do go on to blow up public transport

Okay, obviously he is not racist and I apologise unreservedly.

"I get a very strong impression, you don't like non muslims giving their views, "
Well obviously as a non Muslim myself (if you have read previous postings as you have said you have, you would note that I declare myself to be agnostic but bordering on atheism), this is obviously untrue.

"Ps, i suspose 300 asian men {note no women} who were on the streets near jackson rd in birmingham last night, were just being nosey, Wrong, they were trying to intimatate the police," - I'm guessing you mean intimidate
Can't say I saw any of them - but I reckon they were being nosey and 'rubbernecking' - when we had floods recently, there were around 300 people dying to get their faces on the TV when the camera crews came round - well at least that is what I thought - maybe they were trying to intimidate the water authority!
oneeyedvic, their you go again?

You go out to wind people up, try to pick on trivial spelling mistakes, you ''think'' your on a higher pedastal than others on here, you just disagree with the majority, yet most see you as wrong, your the classic type that talks total bull, but can only manage this via the net etc as facing joe public would be far to bigger challenge for you, ie people would tell you where to go etc

Your probably Mr no-friends {wonder why} who does sweet fa for a living rather than quote stupid facts, reality is what you need to see, take the muslim blinkers off, and your get the message, tho i won't hold my breath
ahem 'there you go again.

Sorry - it was too easy.

Ignore me.
laurence2

Don't you think though, that's better to question established beliefs?

If Oneeyedvic is indeed in the minority with his views (which are normally supported by facts, which he looks up), don't you think this is more something to be admired, than criticised?

Surely you welcome opposing views to your points of view?
I can't usually agree with laurence2 because most of his posts that I read are in the footie section and I'm a Manc, but, I whole-heartedly agree with everything he has said this time... and certain ABers should try living in the real world!!!
okay, attack me again if that is your wish - you make no comment as to why I called stokeace racist - do you think this is valid or not?

You also make no comment amount my non Muslim beliefs

In fact you make no comment at all about my response to you apart from picking up on a 'spelling mistake' - in fact I only did this as I wanted to clarify your meaning - I did not point out any of your other spelling mistakes, grammatical errors etc.

I am sorry that you don't feel that 'facts' are important (especially as they come from the Home Office).

I'm not going to bother responding to your other assertions about my private life.
Ok attack me again if thats your wish?

You poor victim you.{Oneeyedvic}

In response to your belief that stokeace is a racist, I'm not in a position to say he is a racist as i don't know him in person, your obviously referring to his ''inter the lot of them'' comment i assume, does one comment make one a racist then?

In regards to your non-muslim beliefs, i stick by my original saying.

In regards to grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, you were being patronising without doubt, you know full well what i was trying to say etc, you just thought that by mentioning this, it would belittle me and raise your profile.

I will stick by my comment that your a stat man, or ''home office facts'' as you like to call them, either way they are uncomfortable reading.

As for you avoiding the 300 asian men statement i made, how can you turn around and say they were being nosey or ''rubbernecking''.
i live in birmingham, and trust me they weren't being nosey or rubbernecking, actually the area around alum rock {jackson road} in the police eyes 12 months ago, was a no go area if your not asian. {fact} still think they were rubbernecking as even now ex-amount of them where ''NEW YORK'' T-Shirts & jumpers, now what would they be referring to i ask you.

In regards to your private life, i really don't care what you do, but i still believe my previous comments are not far from the truth.

sp1814,
i criticised his view because he looks at this situation one way {fact}
I keep giving this answer. All I seem to hear is Muslims, Muslims, Muslims and "The Community, pronounced Commhuunitteee !!!
How come the Sikhs, Hindus,Buddhists et al seem to cause no bother.
Also I wonder what they think ?
"Ok attack me again if thats your wish?...You poor victim you.{Oneeyedvic}"

Not trying to be a victim, just trying to have a rational debate - if the only way you can debate is by personal attacks, then I guess that speaks volumes.

I will repeat again that I was not trying to belittle you - you will again see from lots of my previous posts that I do not do that - I was clarifying a word. I would also say that I have not picked up on anyone elses spelling or grammar throughout this or previous posts. If you take offence at this the I apologise.

"how can you turn around and say they were being nosey or ''rubbernecking''." -- please at least try to read my posts:
Can't say I saw any of them - but I reckon they were being nosey and 'rubbernecking' - do you see - I was giving an opinion.

I don't know (and lets face it, neither do you) why they were there, we were both giving opinions - yours based on your views of the people who live around there (and mine on not a lot - as stated in my post)
sarah_louise "Also I wonder what they think" - interestingly there was an article a few weeks back with this regard - some Sikhs & Hindus were trying to stop being called Asian as it has negative connotations thanks to the Muslim extremists.

well thank you marvelman and laurence2 i am not racist in any way shape or form it just so happens that i agree with the arrests made 'people like that' i refer to as possible terrorist threats i served with the staffordshire regiment and did 3 tours of northern ireland and was unfortunate enough to have been in enniskillen at the time of the ira bomb if you oneyedvic had seen half the carnage i have seen in my time as a serving soldier you would not be so keen to protect possible terrorists.and for your information sp1814 its an old saying that you cannot see through rose tinted glasses but by oneyedvics comments i think he is wearing sunglasses.thanks to everyone who agrees with me on this issue.
stokeace

My comment on rose tinted glasses was supposed to be humourous to defuse the level of anger on this thread.

It would appear that it is true...that I am as funny as a baby with a nail gun.

laurence2

By someone giving their view on a subject, especially one as contentious as this, that they will look at it 'one way'?

I mean that's what a point of view literally is...something you look at from one way.

I myself understand your arguments and points of view - I just don't agree with your conclusions...and Oneeyedvic's position isn't less valid than yours just because he doesn't share your outlook(?)
"i am not racist in any way shape or form it just so happens that i agree with the arrests made 'people like that' i refer to as possible terrorist threats"

in which case I misconstrued your earlier statements and apologise for calling you a racist - (I took it to mean all Muslims).

I think that we must agree to disagree on the question of guilty until proven innocent

Apologies again
apologies accepted oneyedvic it is a very contencious issue it takes a real man to apologise and i take my hat off to you..........................
