You can buy Tippex thinners - soak the area and then use something like a fine sponge/ kitchen roll to soak it back up - repeat until it's all gone.

I had this prob not so long ago. BARGAIN pair of trousers from Debenhams and when I got them home found that someone got tippex happy. I used either meths or white spirit. Can't remember which. Literally poured it on and the tippex poured off with the liquid.
