Problem with my motorbike

Hey, I have a Honda CBR 125 and the egnition lock has jammed, so i canot unlock my bike, i just wanted to know if there was any way of fixing this before i call out the proffessionals to fix it???

Hi,

You could try using some WD 40 oil, spray it into the ignition lock (it won't harm it) and push the key up and down a few times getting the oil in also spray the steering lock button which is on the steering head. As you are switching the ignition on gently turn the key both ways trying to free it at the same time gently move the handlebars from side to side

thank you.. i have tried WD40 and still nothing it, wont budge at all....

mdoo98.. no its been fine no probs at all. just suddenly happened over night. i cant see anything jammed in it and the key goes in absolutly fine.. no the key hasnt worn that i can see, and have an unused spare one that i've tried and still no luck.. Yeah it still opens the back seat and so forth as well.

Also have you tried moving the handlebars as you turn the key? sometimes the bars lean against the lock!

Hey.
Ended up all the internal parts of the ignition were frozen solid, they had to take it out and defrost the whole thing.. :o)
but all is sorted now and i'm back on the slippery roads.
