I have a complete covering of tiny bright green leaves on my garden pond, and no matter how often I try to remove it, it comes back within a few days. I don't think my thriving frog population are too impressed, as they climb out to clean themselves off in the birdbath most nights! Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of this nuisance please?

Its probably duck weed. the safest way to get rid of it is to scoop it off with a fine net and keep scooping on a daily basis...I tolerate some duckweed on my pond because it uses up the nitrates from the fish manure and other organic sources and keeps the water safe for my pond inhabitants. Once you have got it under control, add loads of other plants, both in the water and marginal, to take up the nitrate and keep the water fresh
Definitley duck weed , scoop it off with a net or a rake. It only grows in still water, so moving water eg waterfall will prevent it.
