I just cracked an egg and it has this red stuff in it, can I still eat it?

(Yes, I know nothing about food lol)

Tha-Flash, have never seen that before but it doesn't sound great, personally I would bin it. But I would be interested to know what it is!
Yes you can eat it - they are tiny blood spots.

Blood spots
Occasionally small blood spots may be found on an egg yolk. These are caused by the rupture of a blood vessel on the yolk surface during egg formation. Less than 1% of all eggs produced have blood spots as they are normally removed during the candling process. The egg can be eaten as normal or the spot can be removed with the tip of a knife. The tiny red spots do not indicate a fertilised egg.
yes perfectly safe to eat, the only people who dont eat them ate of the jewish religion i think not kosher, but carry on they are fine
