Dash mounted CD changer in a Mk5 VW Golf....

Strange question I know, I have a CD stuck in one of the bays of my dash mounted CD changer in my VW Golf (Mk 5) and need to get it out. The changer doesnt recognise that there is a CD in there. Can anyone please tell me a) how to get the CD changer out and b) How to cd the CD out of the changer once Im there. Any help appeciated!!

Those bigger units are harder to get out, so I would just suggest you go to your local dealer, and go in to the service dept and ask if you can borrow a mechanic for ten minutes.

They'll have those little clips that slide in, in order to get the unit out. Before that though, they might have a way of getting the CD out without pulling out the whole unit.

Depending on what is wrong, it could be a replacement job under warranty. If that's the case, and you have an armrest, you could get yourself a 6CD changer in there and have a capacity of 12 CDs. Nice.
