Hi,

I've recently acquired a black K-reg renault clio williams 1.8, in a pretty mint condition (so I'm told by my bf) which has had only 1 previous owner. I've tried to find out how much its worth but can't find anything similar (my bf also has led me to believe its limited edition - only 400ish ever made).

does anyone out there know how much it might be worth? just a guesstimate will do.

Thanks in advance

If you`ve got a 'black 1.8' Clio then I can assure you its not a Williams. They only made them in Blue and they had a 2.0 litre engine, and they did only make 400 rhd models but non of them were black.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Just a thought though it maybe a Williams Mk1 but for the life of me can`t think why somebody would change the colour and also drop a 1.8 engine in it
teash is dead right,it sounds as if you have bought a customised renault clio, made to look like a williams version, was it advertised as a williams,or not.you may have grounds to sue

Hi,

wasnt the williams 3 made with a 1.8 litre engine? i think it might have had a spray job on it. its got a vent thing on the bonnet and has electric sunroof, locks, mirrors. also has ABS.

any ideas what my car is then?

The Williams 3 ( Blue with gold alloys) definately had a 2ltr engine and was a very limited edition of around 300 cars in the UK in 1995 (N reg) so you wouldn't have one of these if you have a K reg. As has previously been said I can't see why anyone would change the colour and down size the engine. It is more likely you have a more standard model that has been done up. You may get a more detailed answer in a Renault forum.
Plus the williams limited edition didn't start until a L plate if i'm not mistaken, It could be a hybrid, had a 2.0L williams engine put in it? There's not much difference looks wise between the two engines.

www.williamsclio.co.uk is a good site to ask more about it.
