I woke this morning with a really bad pain in my right hand side of my body, it's really painful and hurts to lie down of sit. I feel sick and tired. Though, my side isn't overly painful when poked. Could it be appendicitous???

No, your apendix is on the other side. You may have an infection of some kind - get yourself along to your GP to get checked out, and medicine if required.

I'm sorry, but your appendix are definatley on your right hand side. Someone else's are on the left as you look.
if you have appendicitis man youd definitely know. the feeling is one of near death
Your appendix is definitely on the right, the pain from appendicitis however often starts in the middle of you abdomen and settles on the right. If you are feeling unwell, as well as in pain, go and see your doctor straight away. If you are in the UK you could ring NHS Direct first and they will discuss your symptoms with you. there are loads of more minor things it could be, but you need to get it checked out.
Sorry spainlads - I should have asked my middle daughter, or my grandaughter where their apendix used to be - but neither were available! Thanks to my more knowledgeable collagues, and I will stick to answering when I know what I'm talking about!
Well if your appendix isn't on the right side, I hate to think what they removed from me instead! I have the scar to prove it.
Sure it's not trapped wind? I am serious.
Secretspirit could be right. Trapped wind creates a terrible pain and makes you feel sick. You might have the onset of gastro enteritis, either a bug or from eating something bad. Hope you are feeling better by now.
