After being given a "2nd chance" option to win an auction, I duly sent off my P/O, and the seller eventually confirmed they had received it.
No sign of the item in the post, and she is now saying she has had confirmation from the Post Office the item was delivered.
As there was no option to have it recorded dellivery etc, how can this be confirmed
Despite having a good rating (1000+) her last few auctions seem to have suffered the same fate - and been offered their money back.

Any advice please?

the fact that she didnt offer recorded delivery as an option doesnt necessarily mean it wasnt sent recorded. Have you asked her for the proof that item was delivered?
Report it to eBay as item not received. How much was it for? If it was over 15 they may be able to make a claim against her.

I have had this happen to me a few times lately after buying PlayStation2 games for my son and a Simpson's DVD none of them turned up. The one I payed by P,O eBay said that as it was under 15 there was nothing they could do.

You need to report her though she will get a strike against her. I hate dodgy eBay people they make me mad, I am honest when I sell on there I'm naive in expecting everyone else to be.

Yep, Ive now asked her for the confirmation from the Post Office.
Whats annoying is it was supposed to be a Xmas present. I "won" 2 auctions, and sent the P/Os off on the 14th Dec (the one that went through ok was recd on the 16th, and I recd the game on the 21st) This one though said the P/O didnt arrive until the 21st - which even with the Xmas post is a bit hard to believe - and that the game was sent there and then (so taking into account the Crimbo and NY break still should have been here)
It was over 15 spurslady - 22 for a PS2 game.

I'll give it a few more days to see what appears, and then see what Ebay say

Thanx JD
Goodluck I hope you get it sorted 22 is a lot to lose out on.

you can ask for recorded delivery yourself - it is only about 70p, just add that to the total.

the only way the royal mail will have a record of delivery is if it recorded - and therfore she will have a receipt - ask for it.

also check that her feedback score is not just her buying loads of stuff - it is her selling score that counts.

some buy loads of cheap items just to bulk up their scores

it si her responsibility to recover the item, which is something many sellers don't seem to understand.
when she posted the item, she opened up a deal with the royal mail, for them to get her item to you - until it is safely in your hands, the contract is still open and up to her to deal with.

she must refund you and claim against royal mail

the PO will not discuss this with the recipient
