I used to use PC Guard till the Telewest/Blueyonder wanted to charge for it. I thought I had removed it until today when I saw the son of a bitch was still in my add remove folder. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Can you click 'remove' in the add/reove folder?

I can Ethel, but it won't go away.
If you are careful...you can remove it via the registry...This is where all programme details have there "hooks"..Back up your registry first so you can restore any mistakes you make..To remove the offending programme...Click Start....then Click ...run...Type ...regedit...in the blank box...Look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE...expand the tree by clicking the plus sign....Look for SOFTWARE....expand this tree and search for your PC Guard entry....right click and select Delete..If you aren't sure how to do this ....make sure to backup your registry first..At least then you can restore your settings to the previous state.Hope this helps..Regards Ed
