Can't rip an audio CD

Whenever I get a new CD I always rip the tracks I like most and add them to my MP3 collection on my PC.
There are CDs out there that have copy protection on them making this rather difficult. So far I've been lucky and only had a handful of CDs like this and I've been able to find and download the tracks from the net.
I've just bought a CD and I've discovered that my PC wont even recognise that there's a CD in the drive and I can only find a couple of the tracks I like on the net.
All I can think to do is to put the disc in a CD player and connect it up to my PC with a digital audio cable and record it that way. Pain in the arse though.

So my question is does anyone know of any simple ways of ripping a CD when copy protection prevents a PC even seeing the disc? Are there any hacks that can make these discs readable?

Do you have an Apple Mac? Usually these totally bypass the protection, since the protection tends to be geared for Windows machines.

Otherwise, I'd suggest you just download the track illegally via bittorrent or similar; they can't really complain when you've purchased the disc legally.

PC only I'm afraid.

Unfortunately I can't find the tracks on the net and I've been through all the usual torrent sites and file sharing networks.
I did find the entire rar'ed up album in LimeWire but it sat there saying 'Awating Sources' for hours. I gave up in the end.
Have a look here:

The first item looks fairly promising.

Brilliant, worked like a charm. Thanks.

And thanks for doing what I should have done in the first place and Googled for an answer. Since finding AB it's become the first place I look for answers rather than Google as it used to be.
