My mother is elderly and becoming more infirm, and is thinking of applying for an attendance allowance. Is there a limit on the amount of savings she can have in the bank. Ie over 16000 and she wouldn't qualify?
Thank you

Attendance Alowance is not means tested and is not affected by savings.
The Age Concern website, (think it's ageconcern.co.uk )
has a wealth of information on how to apply for benefits. If you go to the site, you will find there is a pop-up box for Fact Sheets (or some similar wording) on virtually every financial topic that elderly people want to find out information on. You can download the fact sheets for future reference.
