I've just found out I am pregnant, I'm really pleased as we have been trying for 5 years. The thing is, I keep getting pains above my pubic area and is not too sore but more of a discomfort, is this normal?

it could just be the ligaments. The pregnancy hormones make the more pliable to accomodate the extra growth. Best to check with your midwife if you are concerned though.

Thanks redcrx.
Yes, at about 5 weeks I was getting bad stomach cramps which made me a bit unsure of whether I was actually pregnant or getting period pains. I think it's normal as your body's adjusting.
Congratulations btw, great news!!
I hope you have an enjoyable pregnancy. :)
I am 13 weeks pregnant, so I totally understand your worries. However, fortunately I have passed that worry. I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and as the weeks progressed, I started having "tummy pains". I came to realize that it was just my body adjusting and expanding. I am a total worry wart and nothing eases my mind, so please don't worry. You are going to be just fine;)
