Hi my girlfriends car had been playing up a bit (1998 1.8 16v), the revs on tickover go up and down constantly and each day end up a bit lower which has now caused it to stall, i took apart the throttle housing and breather pipes and cleaned it up and the revs stayed a lot higher for about a month but its back to where it was now. Also i had it plugged into the diagnostic machine and it said it needs oxygen sensor but now its saying everything is fine.
I dont know if this is related but i know the rev thing is common on astras, does anyone know what it might be, dont really wanna pay out 65 for something that might be fine.

Thanks to anyone that can help and if anyone knows these cars well i got another question just above they might be able to help with.
Thanks

A friend of mine has a Daewoo and some are fitted with Vauxhall parts(seriously ! ) - he has had the same problem and it turned out to be the oxygen sensor. I would say if the diganostic is reading the oxygen sensor as faulty then I would say it is.
