I've read some conflicting and confusing reports on this, but would like to know whether I am OK to continue taking my (Centrum) multivitamins during pregnancy. I have Crohns disease and don't always absorb the nutrients from my food. I will ask at the hospital, but if any of you know anything about this I would love to hear from you. Many thanks.

There is a vitamin thats not advised to have too much of during pregnancy, i think its vitamin A but it may just be the vitamin A thats in liver that can cause abnormalities in the feotus
why not try taking a pregnancy multivitamin instead such as sanatogen pronatal vitamins http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp? productid=1044034&classificationid=1034233
check on the label re taking during pregnancy,
Redcrx is right... its not advisable to take too much vitamin A. The advantage of taking multivitamins specifically for pregnancy is that they will have the recommended dose of folic acid in it, so you wont need to take that seperately.
