Is there a website that lets you check the current value of your car? I'm trying to get alternative insurance quotes for my 2000 registered 5 door Corsa manual hatchback and need to state a current value. Thanks.

try, parkers guide or glasses guide, they both have websites,i should think its worth about 2300
You need to value it so that in case it was stolen and la total loss, you can buy an equal spec car of the same age etc, I'd then add 500 on - but whatever you value it at would be totally different to what an assessor might think it would be worth. Simply go to www.autotrader.co.uk and look for cars of similar age and model to yours - you will then get a good idea of what yours is worth on the 2nd hand market.
Norman's figure is about right. They work to market values anyway so in a total loss situation they would offer you market value. The vauxhall uk website will give you a free valuaton of your car.
