15 cats meet 3 cats each. Those cats all meet 25 cats each and they all go for a curry!

Q = How many cats?

Right people before you try to answer then question i'll tell you the answer, the answer is 2641

i was watching the great big quiz on channel 5 last night for over 4 hours waiting for the answer to this question, and still no one got the answer right. at the end they gave the answer out and i could not understand how they got the answer, the obvious answer were 70, 0, 1125, and 85 but still the answer was 2641.

so my question is how do you figure it out to be 2641??? please some one help!

The "those" is a little ambiguous but I make it 1560:

15 cats meet 45 cats (total 60 cats).

60 cats meet 1500 cats (total 1560 cats).

Hmmmmm!
I get 1500 cats. I can't see where 2641 comes from.
We know these quizzes are a great big fat con. During the day, they have simple puzzles for a 50 or 100 prize but when it gets to the serious money, there is no logical answer otherwise the money would be won right away. I think they just pluck a number out of thin air that no-one can possibly guess.

I've given up watching these quizzes as they are just too infuriating. All that 'we're waiting for your call' when you know people are phoning in like mad and the calls are not being put through. You think there is an army of people on the switchboard but my sister read an article that said there was one person taking the calls and they'd go off on a break and no-one was there to answer the phone. Of course they can offer thousands of pounds in prize money when people are phoning in at 75p. or 1 a time. Keep reading that they are being investigated but nothing seems to happen.
When the answer must be 2641, I can only think of following sadistic trick:

No matter how many cats met each other in the beginning, it ends up with each meeting 25 other cats. So there are 26 cats. They all go for "a curry", which is 1 curry.
So 26 cats go for 1 curry, or in short: "26 for 1", or written in digits: 26-4-1, which pretty much looks like the answer to me: 2641
