.......... you have something to hide?

(translation of an ancient chinese proverb)
Leonardo Pisano is better known by his nickname Fibonacci. He was the son of Guilielmo and a member of the Bonacci family. Fibonacci himself sometimes used the name Bigollo, which may mean good-for-nothing or a traveller.
thought - Did his countrymen wish to express by this epithet their disdain for a man who concerned himself with questions of no practical value, or does the word in the Tuscan dialect mean a much-travelled man, which he was?
another non-sequitur
Fibonacci,
Im amazed at your knowledge of American history in general, and western american history in particular. Especially since your from the other side of the pond.

Im American, proud of it, but this whole thing really shows that it is our (Americans) fault that the world thinks we are lazy.

Thanks for your patience with the "ugly, lazy Americans" :-) .

My two year old little guy had something to say about that, and my post doesn't show, haha.
It appears my earlier responses were thought, evasive .I tried to be light-hearted in my reply especially the quote about Fibonnaci's nickname possibly meaning a man who concerned himself with questions of no practical value".
So a more straightforward answer.
Like most folk who answer quiz or puzzle postings on AB. I either know the answer or do research to find it.
I have some knowledge of American history and culture but most of my answers to the Marlboro questions have come from internet research which can be very useful but you always need to make sure, if possible, you cross- check the sources for accuracy.
I fully agree with you Fibonacci. Through searching, researching and researching again I have completed 90 out of the 100 questions for the Marlboro game. I wish you could review them but I know of no way to submit them without getting insulted by shallow, uneducated, jealous people. You can write me if you want.. I will make a point to delete all incoming unless it's from you.

Hey Fibonacci- I didnt mean for you to catch so much heat for your brilliance. I too have googled some of these questions but never have come up with the answers that you have, or maybe havent been able to comprehend them the way you have. I find myself looking through questions just to read your answers in hopes of absorbing some of your knowledge. Google or not youre able to translate what you find into a language that makes sense to everyone, and for that we admire you. So thank you for sharing yourself with all of us.

P.S. AnN2WishN I did not post this ? for you to use it as a shameless way to beg for Marlboro answers. Please keep that stuff where it belongs.
I have now completed the 100 questions, have actually taken onsite pictures plus have an awesome license plate designed. I did all this with only my computer and my team members.
I do not think that wanting to compare or share is cheating because in the end it's the seven that win..

I really don't care, I'm not playing the "Marlboro game". I was simply asking a question to a fellow board member, not begging answers or asking for help. If you wanted to ask for help you should have created your own post, not leached on mine. Enjoy your Marlboro's.
