I want to learn how to print out books so that, for example, they print 2 pages to an A4 sheet, say, if the book was 30 pages long this double page would be numbered 1 and 30, and the next sheet would have 2 and 29, and so on... is there any way to do it so I don't have to move text and work it out? Maybe a free program? Thanks!

Microsoft Word 97, but if you can suggest a better one?
This may help - it's worth a go!
Ooops! Here's the link:

Or here are instructions for Word 97.

Microsoft Publisher would definitely do what you want, but unfortunately it costs . I have seen it for sale on e-bay (under Desktop Publishing) - it might be worth having a look there. Publisher is great for leaflets, newsletters, books etc and very easy to use.
LaTeX is totally free, does everything you want, and is far more professional than Word could ever hope to be.

However, it takes more learning (it uses a markup language).
