A Freeview box is unlikely to work well with an indoor aerial.
I bought my Freeview box from my local Woolworths. It's a Sagem and it works just fine.
hi simon,
i have an amplified indoor aerial,
cost me 19-99, works fine with my freeview box.
as for freeview boxes there is a great variety
out there, if you pay around 30-40 you should be fine, but think about what connections
you need on the back of your box,
some only have 1 scart socket whitch is ok for the most basic set up, but if you need to connect a video or dvd recorder you will
need 2 scart inputs, also if you want to
connect to your hi-fi system, for better sound quality you will need one with phono outputs..
good luck.
hi simon, ive recently bought a freeview box from asda, we have an indoor aerial ourselves and it works perfectly fine, that is as long as your tv aerial is digital and not analogue, if you find your aerial is analogue, you can pick a perfectly good aerial kit up from screwfix - 6.99, plus any other bits that you may need. i.e cable etc, but screwfix does all this stuff and at very cheap prices too
