I have just found out that my family have been invited (i.e we HAVE to go) to my grandmother's house for Christmas tea which means; a long journey just to get to her house, freezing weather and a load of snobby relatives that make fun of the fact I live in England.GREAT!!!!!! Not to mention the fact I won't be able to eat the traditional English Christmas dinner.Who are you having Christmas dinner with?

I'll be spending it with my mum, grandad, uncle and aunt.
I have one great aunt who usually spends the day alone because there's a family feud, and those relatives not involved in the feud live too far away for her to get to (she has given up driving.)
i'm working 10 till 5. so bah, humbug!!!!

This year it's the inlaws turn, so, me & hubby & 3 kids will have morning to ourselves (he's been he's been etc) then off to my sisters (brother in law nephews) and my Dad to exchange pressies, then off for family do at inlaws with sister & brother in law etc & kids, dinner, drinks family games, stay over. Boxing day our house where about 25 family members (other sister from Nottingham etc) descend upon our house for another Christmas day, but with a big pan of something rather than dinner and trimmings. Then chill till New Year when the whole family and friends, local students etc descend for 3 or 4 pans of something and plenty of singing and cheer, and good merry spirits all around.
