Hello - I am running Windows XP Pro, with all current updates, on my home PC.

I use Outlook 2003 as my default mail program, but my girlfriend (who has her own account on the computer) prefers using Outlook Express. However, whenever the default mail prgramme is changed for one user acccount it is automatically changed for the other user too. Is it possible to change this, so that each account can have its own settings?

Any help gratefully received!

Set yourself up as two users so you each log on to XP Pro using a different name.

Go into the Windows Control Panel and select User Accounts and add your girlfriend as another user.

When you start XP you have two choices, log on as you, or your girlfriend.

In my house I have four user accounts on the one PC, for me, my wife, and my two children.

Each of us can have our own different set up.

(Not sure how this works for Outlook Express and Outlook 2003 and they are similar products but do NOT share the same code)
Whoops, re-reading your append it seems you may have already set up two accounts.

I think Outlook Express and Outlook 2003 are so similar I am surprised anyone notices much difference.

Outlook has a lot of configuration possibilities, cant you make Outlook 2003 look like Outlook Express for her ?
