Do any Aber's believe they have guardian angels? Sometimes in the past I have been sitting in a room on my own and I feel a presence, as if I am not alone. The feeling is one of well being and it makes me feel secure. Am I bonkers?

No, of course you're not! I've never had a feeling of an angelic presence myself (just the other sort!) but hundreds of sane, rational and very normal people have.

They have been felt and seen during times of fear, danger and bereavement, always leaving a sense of peace and comfort.

If you are interested in other peoples stories, try to get hold of a book by Hope Price called "Angels - True stories of how they touch our lives"

Thanks cetti, will check out the library for the book!
It's only a little paperback warpig, so I'm not sure whether a library would have it or not. If they don't and you want to buy it I've jusy found it on Amazon UK:

thank you cetti. Much appreciated.
Do you think that all those children who died in the Concentration Camps had guardian angels ?
Question Author
No brionon, I am not suggesting that for one minute! I am merely asking the question 'do any aber's believe they have guardian angles? I would have thought that was quite clearly put! There are many, many people in the world who suffer unnecessary and untimley deaths but there are also those few who, by chance, coincidence or perhaps 'guardian angels' , make decisions which have changed their lives for the better or even saved their lives. Why you wish to hijack this thread by mentioning those children who died in concentration camps is beyond me, as I have stated I thought the question was quite direct, specific and merely related to my own personal expreiences.
Hi Warpig!..I've never experienced the feeling myself, but an old friend of my mine is convinced she felt that comforting feeling, when her son had not come home on a night when there was a lot of trouble around. He was in a danger area..but..she immeadiately felt he was safe. She told me she stopped worrying, and,he did arrive soon after.I would also say,she had never had that type of feeling before, and was so amazed that her belief and acceptance had come true :-)

Morning lindapinda, how are you?, thats exactly what I am talking about, a comfort and secure feeling that everthing will be ok.

cheers
warpig1
but surely that is just a warm and comforting feeling that everything is ok. On what basis do you take the leap of interpreting that feeling as the existence of a guardian angel? Why would a guardian angel favour you over someone else? Does the guardian angel prevent anything bad happening to you? Does it go outdoors with you?

I really an interested. i'm not trying to hijack your thread with negativity
Question Author
dawkins, it has happend at times when I have been stressed or worried, and not known what to do then a calming feeling comes over me and I get the feelings I describe in my question.

To answer your questions - a leap of faith - its just the feeling I am not alone and that there is a 'good' presence in the room, hence a 'guardian angel', suppose it could be a demon lulling me into a false sense of security, ha,ha!!!

Why would a guardian angel favour me - have no idea.

Does it prevent anything bad happening - no, bad things have happened but its more the feeling of calm that suggests to me that even though it is bad, it will all work out alright.

Does it go outdoors - this made me laugh, no it doesnt come shopping to tescos with me or anything, but I have been sitting in a park or in a library and again felt this presence.

Thanks you for your questions, this is why I asked mine ending with the question 'am i bonkers', perhaps this can be explained by some neurological condition or something, but believe me, it is real to me when I feel it. I also know one colleague who has mentioned similar experiences and others who nearly pi$$ed themselves laughing.

So based on the information provided, am I bonkers?

Thanks
warpig1

Well, I would say that you are reassuring yourself by utilising your imagination and that this projection provides you with emotional stability when things get tough, a defence mechanism if you like. In and of itself it is not in the slightest bit bonkers to project these kind of feelings (although it wouldn't hurt you to take a little credit for calming yourself). Obviously, if you interact with this angel and these interactions influence your behaviour, it is time to worry.
Question Author
Thanks dawkins for a well explained and rational answer. Thankfully I dont interact but if it happens in tescos and I am advised to buy one thing over another by it then I think I would seek medical help!!

Thank you again.
Cheers

While I don't advocate accepting any spiritual encounter without questioning the circumstances, sometimes we are in danger of over - rationalization - as in this case.

Why shouldn't you be selected? You are special as all people are. It is not a demonic prescence - believe me you would know the difference very quickly. So accept these precious moments for what they are - precious - and don't try and disect them.
Oh dear, I've just re-read my last post <Bwarpig, and it sounds a bit bad tempered.

Ooh, this was the opposite of what I intended :-)
Question Author
Dont worry cetti, I didn't take it that you were bad tempered it is just good to have outher peoples interpretation on things.
