how do you change interior doors?

hi all; we are changing interior doors and havent got a clue where to start... any advice please?

Are you intending to hang them yourself or get a carpenter in ? if you have never hung a door before it might be best to get somebody in to do it,please let us know.

I have hung new doors in my house a right pain in the ar*e. Do give it a try get someone to help you, you need two people. Equipment needed will be a screwdriver, hammer, chisel (or a wood tool to cut where the hinges will go and a planer. Let us know how you get on

Go to door store - pick doors you want in the size you need - get them delivered get carpenter in to hang them - for an easy life.

I have also done it (17 doors in the house) and agree with the above. It will not be cheap in terms of labour to do - so don't skimp on the quality of the doors. Then there's all the painting.

Not sure what Woodchopper means by a door store, but negotiate hard on price. There's a huge margin on the RRP in the catalogues the Merchants will show you - should be able to get about 40% off list if you are buying about 10 doors. Try Jewson, Travis, these sorts of places for quotes.
