A long time ago i had a gold necklace, whicj h i unfortunately lost, and i havebn;t seen a chain like it since. If you'd cut it, the cross section was like a square...can anyone tell me what this kind of chain is called?

no...the links themselves were oval i think...but they were very intricately linked to the chain looked like it has four corners.
