We've bought our youngest (23) an electric guitar for Christmas and I want to get him a book to go with it that specialises in left-handed technique/chords. There are several on the market and I just wondered what any of you recommend.

I should say our son is not a complete beginner. He had lessons several years ago and has a rudimentary knowledge of music, although I daresay he'll be wanting to brush up a little.

As a left-handed guitarist myself, I know the problem! I bought a good one in America a few years ago which did the job, you can probably order it online, I can't remember the exact title right now but I'll check when I get home this evening and post again to let you know.
The one I've got is called 'Left-Handed Guitar: The Complete Method' by Troy Stetina, published by Hal Leonard. Hope that helps!

Thank you very much, Robbo. I'm off to the music shop next week, so I'll look out for it and check it out.

Well, I bought the book you said, Robbo. It seems to be one of the few that the local music shop actually stock - which is actually a good thing, because I know them well and they won't stock rubbish - and actually, the book looks pretty useful.

Thanks again, Robbo.
