Hiiii...not quite down that road meself, but my mum swears by something called 'menopace'..she never seems to have hot flushes/sweats now....it is in boots, superdrug etc....
Black Cohosh mrs stewart. It's used by many women and it worked wonder's for me! You can get it in tablet form or as a tincture, just a couple of drops in water from any health shop, chemist or supermarket. Daisy.
and if that doesn't work i am told that sage is pretty good- haven't tried it myself but have a friend who swears by it
You could try HRT mrs stewart. I did'nt want to.
I also take menopace, sold in all the supermarkets, I get it from tesco and it works for me.
Menopace is brilliant and black cohosh does help with the flushes and sweats .Cool shower or bath before you go to bed ,cotton sheets and nightie (if you wear one! ).Keep a fan in the room so if you do get hot you can switch it on to cool you down Or keep one of those little battery fans by the bed..Avoid tea, coffee ,fags, alcohol last thing ,drink plenty of water.I used to keep a bowl of iced water by my bed and a flannel and wring that out just to wipe the horrible sweat away and cool me down It will get easier ..I promise .Best of luck ....
Welcome to the board mrs stewart :o)

Some good answers?
Black Cohosh & Wild yam. You can get a combination of both in Health shops. Sage tea is also good.
try a "chillow" its a pillow, go onto google or ask jeeves to find a site. its supposed to be good, i have heard some good reports about it.
You could fill a spray bottle with ICED water & use that to cooldown. On the other hand the spray you buy in the summer for cooling could be carried around. Keep it in the fridge it`s a lot better, although it says on the can it does not this.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I am grateful..... I am trying Menopace first and will see how that works and maybe move onto the other suggestions. I have a flannel next to the bed to "mop" down !! trouble is, I also get very cold in bed following a sweat. I get very little sleep. I have strategically placed fans around the house and the car !!....I hope these flushes do not last long.
