the usb mouse disconnects then reconnects, I only have a usb keyboard using the ports so no great load on system,any ideas?

just an update on this,it happens when I am using a game,Snooker and card games also seems to happen after the computer has been on for a long time,changed the power supply recently as the old one was cutting out, the newer one is a lower rating.Could this be a power problem?

I used a powered usb hub for my mouse and keyboard and have not had a problem since, so it appears that the power supply was not man enough.
