Don't think so, Wilde was notorious for copying all his ideas from others. He was knows as 'the great plagariser' and lost many close friends through it, notably the artist Whistler, who said that Wilde had never had an original thought in his life; therefore I doubt even he would have got away with saying that! He was much fonder of paradoxes anyway, e.g. a man who always tells the truth is sure, sooner or later, to be found out.
