Does anyone know whether entries (thinking DT here, mainly) to prize crosswords, are accepted with any alterations - ie, tippexed/crossed out answers. Obviously I know that the answers must be legible, but I wondered about the Tippex thing...?

Thanks

Inless they publish T&C that say that altered entries are not valid, then they have no reason not to accept them

Thanks dzug

Might just stick with the pencil for the first draft then!!! (but then I get smudges when I correct ... doh!)

Cut a square from the magazine/paper the same size of the box and stick it over the incorrect mark using a glue stick or similar and let it dry. You can then write over and it is difficult to see the addtional thickness of paper!

Hi Lizzie,
I normally take a photo copy for a work sheet and then copy final solutions onto newspaper.... having said that I see no reason why amended copies should not be acceptable .. subject to legibility.
am lucky to have photo-copier to do rough copy, but then sometimes inking in I make a mistake ! then I use a white sticky label cut a square out, they are very useful, got 450 small white labels for a pound in poundland, and usually same for about 200 in stationaries, glue sticks are good but white labels less trouble good luck.
