I'm a motorcyclist and would love to know why a high percentage of fish-badgers are inconsiderate, rude and dangerous road users? Surely, if they feel the need to proclaim their Christianity, they should be a bit better about these things!
I believe that the fish symbols with little feet on the bottom are the unoffical logo of the Darwin Awards

It has been posited that anyone displaying religious symbols on their car has such a rock-solid faith in God/Buddah/Shiva etc. that they do not fear death and hence drive with careless abandon
1mrcabbage, as a fellow biker I thank you for pointing that out (I reserve especially blasphemous swear words for them out of spite!) and rekstout thanks to you for the most sensible explanation I've yet heard as to why these fishy drivers are all so reckless. Ever noticed how many of them are driving Volvos?
It may not make much difference to you motorcylists but I am a car driver (mostly) and I make a point of looking out for you 2-wheelers. Why ? Cos I have seen some of the dopes who seem to think you don't count/exist. Not much to do with fish, I know....

As I was, only yesterday, nearly run off the road by five coffin-dodgers in a Golf with a fish on the back, I can echo the opinions previously expressed that fish-badgers are to be avoided on the public highways. They're only slightly less dangerous than people who drive in hats.
Where do Christian motorcyclists stick their fish?
Being a Christian and sticking a fish on the back of your car doesn't make you a good/bad driver. It makes you a normal driver with a Christian faith and just as much chance of making mistakes, cutting people up driving too fast/slow, being too old/young etc. Just the same as being a Christian doesn't make you a good person, it just makes you a normal person who at least knows they are not so good and are trying to be better. Having said all that, when driving to work in the morning and cutting people up getting in the wrong lane and overtaking as I accelerate from traffic lights, I look in my rear view mirror and see my fish and think I really should have driven a bit more in keeping with how Jesus might drive a car.
Jesus was a boy racer. He used to cruise the streets of Jerusalem in his souped up chariot.
Christian motorcyclists wear their symbols on their helmets. Christian cyclists do not need to wear a symbol, as simply taking a bicyle on Britain's roads is surely affirmation enough of faith in God's protective power.

Ahem... back to the original point, the early christians knew a thing or two about occult lore and not only is that particular sigil a fish, if you take the two curved lines to their logical conclusion, you will find two perfect interlocking circles representing , some say, the two true universe with our perception of reality in the middle.

I have a fish symbol on my car because I am a Christian. As far as I know it's dates back to the early Christians, when they were being persecuted. In order to tell each other they were Christian without risking being caught they would make the sign of a fish. I think this is because the Greek word for fish spells out the first letters of the phrase Jesus Christ Son of God. Hope this answers your query.
Not all christians are bad drivers. My husband is always curtious to others on the road. We always offer help to anyone who has broken down. Those who have had problems with drivers who have the fish symbol on their cars have been given the wrong impression of what being a christian is all about.I hope this does not make them avoid becoming a christian and expierencing the love god has for them.May god bless you all and remember dont judge a book by its cover, we are all individuals.
