What equipment are you using? Is this a dvd recorder attached to your tv, or a pc dvd drive?

What make and model?

What blank dvds are you using?
If it's anything like mine (a Goodmans), then when you have recorded one session, the "root" or index for the disc shows a title for that item and then one below it which will be for the next session, and so on. To make the disc readable on another machine, it must be finalised when you have put all you want on it. When the machine is showing you the title blocks as above, use the arrow keys to go UPWARDS. This should give a new menu to enable editing of the title or FINALISE which is what you need to do. It takes two minutes or so, so be patient.
Good luck
I have a LiteOn and it states you cannot finalise DVD+RW discs. For all others you press the Tools button on the remote control and select Finalise.
for mine you go intothe edit menu but neary all machines will not finalise dvd+rw's - only dvd+ or -r. i tend to use rw's as the frist machine i had after i had finalised the two films i put on it - then wouldn't read the discs - it was a hit or a miss thing and 've never had the courage to try it on my new machine which is a tevion
