The water on our grass just won't drain, we dug the back of the garden and then used peat to help break up the clay soil. but now the problem has just moved further down its like a swamp. i wanted to slab the grass area but i am worried as its just too wet? Any ideas x

you need to do a soak away!

dig a massive, not big, but massive hole in your garden,i did one that was 4ft deep and fill it with stones place soil on top and turf....it has to be at the lowest point of the garden i would think??

i am a fencing contractor not a gardener so shoot me if i am slightly wrong but i am close.

It was a local garden centre which advised to use peat, there was a big sign above the peat saying to help break through clay soil - thanks for your help guys
