No.31 In the building trade, which craftsman is known as a 'spread'? Is it a plasterer?

Does anyone know, please? I have searched, but i do not think this question has been asked previously

I think you are right read these definitions.

Yes' a plasterer is a 'spread' as an electrician is a 'sparks' etc. I think painters in some parts of the country were 'toshers' and I expect there were other local nicknames. I was a plumber for very many tears but apart from being called 'Plum' by other trades who didn't know my name, I never came across a general monicker for plumbers and heating engineers
