hi i am 36 and am having a blood test for hormone levels tomorrow to see if i am menopausal due to me symptoms including very regular bleeding etc. can anyone tell me if when going through the start of the change or during it, it effects not only your sex drive but the whole sex thing. The last four or five times me and hubby made love have experienced an awful pain just as i begin to have an orgasm which has made me become scared of having now and last night i braved it again and ended up sobbing!!!????

It could be a hernia or a bruised ovary. If it's the latter you should abstain from sex for about two weeks.
Poor you, no wonder it's putting you off.
If I were you I'd make an appointment to see the Dr and put your mind to rest, before it puts you off for good. Get it sorted and things will be back to normal asap. Good Luck.

Where's the pain lynney? I've got an umbilical hernia but it's never been painful during sex or orgasm. As chiklin says, have a word with your gp. Daisy.
