Distributor cap

My car (mazda 323) has been "juddering" as I drive. Mainly first time in morning, but also after work when I have not driven it for a few hours. Today, it cut out while I was driving. Several times!

Got road assistance man over and he said it was distributor cap, and that need will tow it to garage in morning.

Can anyone tell me if this is likely to be a pricey job. Have ploughed a lot of money in this car this year and am wondering if its worth keep forking out for repairs.

Will not be pricey, �20-�30 at a guess. Quick job to fit, not sure how hard to do on your car.
