Sure it was Francine and not Valerie Kirstie? (nice name by the way).

I only ask cause they've been playing The Zutons Valerie loads lately...
ZZ Top have a song called Francine actually. See below lyrics.... any good?
Got a girl, her name's francine
Finest thing you ever seen
And I love her, she's all that I want
And I need her, she's all that I need

Well, francine, oh francis, why
Do you love me and make me cry?
How I love her, she's all that I want
How I need her, she's all that I need

If I ever caught her with stevie p
I'd throw her back in the penitentiary, now
And if I caught her with my mother's son
I'll call her daddy and get my gun

My fancine just turned thirteen
She's my angelic teenage queen
And I love her, she's all that I want
And I need her, she's all that I need
And I love her, she's all that I want
And I need her, she's all that I need
And I love her, she's all that I want
And I need her, she's all that I need

If not then I've decided I'm next to useless and another ABer will be along shortly! Good luck.

Here's the XFM Manchester playlist, hopefully you'll find it there:

Question Author
No luck on the playlists. The song was on at around ten to seven if that helps x
Oh Lord, not helping you much are we?!

Do you remember anything else about the lyrics at all? Perhaps a line or something?

About the only other thing I can suggest is emailing the station? They should be able to tell you.

(Or if you see an ABer called 'Kempie' around, collar them as they are particuley good at finding obscure links on the net. But I don't know how pleased they'd be about me advertising their talents! Sorry Kempie!)

Personally I'd contact the station.

Let me know how it goes.... you've got me all curious now too!

No clue lol all i can remeber was the guitar intro, thats stuck in my mind. I'll email XFM see whether I get any joy thx anyways x
No problems, I've not helped at all!

And if XFM don't help then try and do an appeal to Kempie... can't promise they'll help or even know but they're a darnsight more useful than I am and a lot better at links!

Good luck xx
Question Author
Thanks for your help anyways, much appreciated x
Question Author
Who is Kempie by the way? I'm guessing they know their stuff x
Kempie is an AB member who in my experience is excellent at finding links on the net to obscure things. If anyone could find your song on AB I would take a gamble on them. I think you'd need to post the day and time you were listening.

Mind you, if you post your question again then perhaps someone else might know.... you're probably burried on page 950 or some such nonsense now. No harm in trying.
