It first aired in 1997 in the UK, and 1999 in the USA.

was it that late I used to work for Childrens at BBC thought it was earlier but 1997 sounds right as well

I only knew this as when my thrid child was born at home the older two were watching teletubbies and it hadn't been on TV long. This was in July 1997...

Anyway just to make sure I was thinking straight I googled :o)
