Losing inches!

I have a date in exactly 7 days...

I want to lose a bit of flab that hangs over my trousers...its not drastic just maybe 2-3 inches...

Anyway, I'm now cutting out sweets, junk, chips, etc.

Drinking loads of water and detox tea - so that should reduce bloat.

Does anyone have any tips?

I can't afford seaweed wraps, although I'm doing a lot of exercise...

Of course snacks are allowed, it is always best to eat less more often, so snacks are good but just healthy snacks like fruit. :-)

Sorry I know I shouldn't be here as I'm a single bloke in my fifties and probably know nothing but I just can't stop laughing at some of the suggestions.

sally, good luck on your date but there is no way that you are going to lose anything significant (except your sanity) in 7 days. Forget about seaweed wraps and other useless things and just eat a healthy, balanced diet and, as you say, cut out the junk and drink water. Exercise is good but won't have any effect by itself.

Now this probably sounds totally stupid but I'm sure you are not going to wear a short, tight top and jeans so that your extra inches can be seen.

Sorry if I have said too much already but good luck again. There's a lot more to being attracted to a person than just appearance.
healthy snacks such as 30g of nuts or some celery sticks and low fat cheese are definately allowed - if you aim to eat at regular intervals (no longer than 3 hours between food) this will quickly speed up your metabolism and enhance weight loss. If its only 7 days stick to about 1200 calories and whatever happens be happy with what you've got...we all changed over a 2 year period so who's to say he hasn't put on a few extra pounds too!
Try the cabbage soup diet! It's amazing for losing weight fast. You can lose over half a stone in a week if you stick to it properly - it should't be used for long periods though as can be dangerous. Works on a seven day period and you have to eat different foods on different days. First day fruit, second day veg etc, that sort of thing. You can eat as much of the cabbage soup as you want as the more you eat the more you lose - you use more calories chewing it than are actually in it!

I thought of soup and salads...its getting colder now!!
