Hey closer - i know you are new to the site, so I will let you in on a secret - i don't do smart **se, I don't do sarcasm, I do irony, when appropriate. My answer was intended to be totally serious, I'm not trying to make fun of your question. If you think about it, the only person who can answer that for you is Mike Barson, and his answer may well be the same as mine, so don't be over-sensitive, or rude, and you'll get on with the AB regulars just fine.

Well thank you for your irony, all I wanted to do was find out something that was bugging me, and I thought this would be the site that helped. I appreciate that Mr Barson named the song, I was just hoping for some insight as to why. I promise to be good.

Lucas and Closer - it was certainly not my intention to sound in any way superior, and if that was the impression I gave, please accept my apologies. I was not being ironic Closer, as I said, i stated my answer as a serious response, I meant what it said - some songs are titled just because that's the title chosen on the day, and my answer was intended to convey that impression. Maybe because the narrator of the song is shut up (behind bars)?

I seem to remember an interview with Suggs when he said it was because the original version did contain those words but they were subsequently removed.
