Since it's such a nice day, and I'm feeling so cheerful ... what song are you having played at your funeral?

i want - There She Goes by The Laas and the best song ever composed by him is Days Like This by Van D Man

Although i remembering William and Mary Last year and it was the one where the little boy died and the song playing was Travis Why Does it Always Rain on Me i it was really emotional and has stuck in my head ever since so i want that one too......

Sorry to be so predictable as a Liverpool supporter, but 'You'll Never Walk Alone' and probably 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'.

would have 2 be  'U2' - One Tree Hill'

green day - time of your life

Golden Brown by the Stranglers - both poignant and also happens to be one of my fave songs of all time.

Jules_word I'm sitting here chuckling, don't know why yours is more funny than the others, but it is!

I haven't got any plans for funeral music, I think I'm going to let them surprise me :0) I actually can't think of a single track that should be played.

same as previously mentioned........

dont fear the reaper - B.O.C

and also

song for a guy - elton john

however they had better be played loud so as i can hear it ;)
Pink Floyd - wish you were here (parts 1-5, but they can play the other half too if they want to)
Not sure about Golden Brown being poignant - unless of course you died of an overdose...
oh yeah, forgot. might go to the sound of 'over the hill' by John Martyn.
I want my funeral procession to go across the centre of Dublin at rush hour and stop all the traffic and have Stairway to Heaven playing (preferably live)
R.E.M - leave..

It will have to be London Calling by The Clash, Teenage Kicks by The Undertones and Going Underground by The Jam. 3 great songs ehich would get my mates talking about the time of our lives

I've always wanted "I am the Resurrection" by the Stone Roses! I can just see some of my mates having a bit of an indie disco in the church aisles!!

Some people think I'm morbid for planning this, but I'm serious, its my favourite song and I think, "why not?"

;-)

I'm just plain old fashioned I reckon - The Fields of Athenry and The Old Rugged Cross.

Then to finish of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay -Otis obv.

Red Hill Mining Town by U2
How about Return to Sender by Elvis?
