Hi - bit of a long shot but does anyone remember a book that was written and illustrated by a young girl - it was about fruit and vegetables that had names and talked to each other - I thought maybe it was the Munch Bunch but those books were written by adults and the pictures were too well drawn (these were pretty badly drawn) I specifically remember thinking she must have been cool to write a book (even though she was probably only 5 years older than me)

My Mother-In-Law had the whole collection of these for when the grandchildren went round. All the pictures were coloured in in felt tip! I remember Mark Marrow aswell as the others already mentioned. They were ladybird books I think. Wow - just had a look on e-bay and there's loads of them for sale!

Wow - thanks folks
I remember there was 2 veg/fruit to a book. I distinctly remember having the one which was about Roger Radish & Sally Strawberry. I can still picture the front cover clearly even though it must have been 25+ years since ive seen it!
these were the first books I bought for my daughter when she was only a few months old! I wonder if she's still writing books?
