How can you say you have not received 'a right answer' (see previous thread) when the definition of Hypermarket is in no way dependent on the number of checkouts it has?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypermarket
Easy: it's 50.
Strange then that some of the first hypermarkets in the US, namely Biggs and Hypermart*USA, only had 40 checkouts.
4?

If you dont know the answer then how would you know if youd been given the right one or not?

Why not telephone a hypermarket and ask the manager?
That was years ago. Lots of supermarkets have 40 tills now. It's now 50 for hypermarket.
Catso - if you read the link you will see the criteria required to distinguish a Hypermarket from a Supermarket. The number of tills/checkouts is irrelevant.
