Can anyone tell me how the new Civic's idea of having no rear wiper is working out, it has got my Dad going on about it all the time, he can not get his head round the the whole concept of not having a rear wiper on a hatchback. Does it actually work

Thanks

Some model do have wipe's, and some don't. It look's like you have picked a model without one. If he still carry's on, tell him he can have one fitted to it. My mate has a mondeo 20ltr gina, without a walnut dash. But i've got one with a walnut dash. So it depends on the model.

Sorry but the New Honda Civics do not have rear wipers, there are no models at all in the new series that do. Honda have developed a new sort of rear spoiler for the model which according to the salesmen does away with the need for one.

I appreciate that different models of cars have different specs, apparently, according to BMW, there are 100's of 1000's variations of the 3 series, however items such as wipers are usually standardised

We both want to know how the lack of a wiper on the new civic affects the rear window, i.e does the new spoiler work

Thanks
We are considering getting a Civic as a company car and the rear wiper is an issue to us too! According to the salesman we spoke to today......"the idea of a wiperless rear screen NEARLY works." ie from that we decided it was not perfect but was not a deal stopper. The guy was very honest and pointed out that the break in the rear screen with the spoiler did interupt the rear view anyway. Best to buy with parking aids!
