It is true re your ntl cable.

But you can have a phone line and broadband installed by bt and then you can choose from any number of broadband providers.
Ethel has the right of it, and being with NTL does limit your options when it comes to switching service providers.

My house is currently NTL with broadband and their TV package, but I am giving serious consideration to switching back to a BT line with broadband, and taking Freeview... seems a cheaper option to me, and does mean I can shop around for deals.

About the only thing I would miss TV wise would be SkyOne, and for the savings, I think I could live with that :)
Lazygun - I have cable broadband, but not the telephone.

I use Skype and a pay as you go mobile phone, it suits me very well, and means I am not paying 11+ in line rental every month.
