does anyone know how I can capture sections from a dvd film, not the whole film but a desired section. Any software that can do something like this?

i think, avi2dvd (freeware) power video converter (costs) (after a trial).It is a little while since i used these programmes so i ca't be 100% certain, but there are quite a few splitters/joiners converters that are capable of it .
