no 4..... introduced in 1707 6,5

sorry got it wrong way round........

Sorry gilliantico. I am going to retract my answer of 650. My Aussie friend tells me that is incorrect. He gave it to me yesterday and after checking said he was wrong. Sorry. The number on the First Fleet was 1350.
The Freo answer is correct.

Many Thanx For Letting Me Know...
Gilliantico: The answer to number 2 could still be First Fleet as it says 650 plus which shows they are not actually specific re the actual figure of 650. What do you think?
hi gillantico@ sorry i have been a bit slow, 1770 captain james cook arrived in botany bay on the hma endeavour this is the first time the aborigines saw whiteman he planted the union jack and claimed the country for queen elizabeth , called the land new wales later became new south wales, i hope this is of some help
sorry that should read hms endeavour i hit the wrong key
blue bonnet12 "claimed it for Queen Elizabeth"?
In 1770, George III was on the throne.
But gilliantico keeps writing 1707 not 1770 so gilliantico what is the actual date for question number 4?
Perhaps can help if I have a correct date.

The Question on My Sheet Says......
Introduced in 1707

I've just read an article on Aborigines which says quote:
The Macassan introduced the dugout canoes and taught the Aboriginals the use of steel in making knives, spear blades and tomahawks.
There is no date given but was before the white man arrived.
The site was http://www.orac.net.au/~mhumphry/aborigin.html

So perhaps it is Dugout Canoe that you are looking for. I hope so.

somebody said it could be plumes roses...some kind of money.could this ba it...
I honestly don't think the Aborigines used any type of money. Not according to what I've read so far when trying to help you with these questions.
I couldn't find plumes roses referred to as money when I entered it on Google.
gilliantico If you ever do get the answers to numbers 2 and 4 please let me know. I'd love to know what the correct answers were.
Thanks. O-Ice
